Soulja Boy continues his 2019 winning streak after a vexing interview on The Breakfast Club initiated viral success a week ago that has the internet still gasping for air. Video clippings of Young Drako’s notorious diss, to self-professed rivals Drake and Tyga, went completely viral on Instagram hours after the interview aired on January 15th. Since then, the hashtag ‘Draaaake’ has been trending on Twitter and Instagram and Soulja Boy has yet again employed masterful social media skills to perpetuate heightened buzz.
This week appropriated another Drako mood beginning with Soulja Boy’s latest single New Drip as he flexes bars like “I got that new drip, shooter pop out with the pool stick.” Wearing an excess amount of Gucci apparel including a fitting headband, the 28 year old rapper went live on his Instagram feed late Tuesday evening to show off his Bentley truck and slipped in news of an endorsement with Gucci. Apparently Gucci brand showered Young Drako with a VIP package that included Gucci bags, shoes and even diapers, according to Soulja Boy.
“Yo, shout out to Gucci for the endorsement deal…” said Soulja Boy during the live IG feed. To add salt to any hater’s wound, Soulja then proceeds to boast about his new Bentley truck also being customized by Gucci. While there are no reports yet by Gucci to confirm such a deal, we can be certain the viral sensation from Chicago has no intentions on speaking it to his many social media fans unless there’s a benefit for him.
